What to know

The sign-up fee includes a T-shirt, fight shorts, and the registration fee waived for the JPW tournament (Border Brawl). Checks should be made out to Whitmer Wrestling. Fees are non-refundable and due at sign-ups.

J-cups pizza fundraiser tickets are handed out at sign-ups. Money and stubs are due no later than the week of December 15; the drawing is at the Whitmer Home Dual.

Levels

From the 2026–27 JPW sign-up sheet.

Novice / Rookie

Less than 2 years experience. Kindergarten–6th grade.

Practices Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00–7:30 PM, Whitmer North Gym.

Season November 17–January 31. $140, due at sign-ups.

Elite

2+ years experience.

Practices Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 6:00–7:30 PM, Whitmer North Gym.

Season November 16–March 19. $175, due at sign-ups.

Attack

State-level experience.

Practices Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 6:00–7:30 PM, North Gym, plus Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30–8:00 PM at the Wrestling Facility.

Season November 16–March 19. $250, due at sign-ups.

Border Brawl

Registration & details

All registrations must be completed at trackwrestling.com by Friday, January 29. Entry fee is $30. There are no weigh-ins — weight is entered during online registration.

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students, and free for ages 4 and under. Concessions will be available (no large coolers or crockpots). Awards go to the top 4 in each weight class.

Age is based on the day of the tournament (no junior high). Divisions: I 6U, II 7/8, III 9/10, IV 11/12, and Girls 8U & 12U. Novice (2 years or less experience) and Open are offered; brackets may be combined if needed. A second bracket is allowed if the criteria above allow it.
